Prediction of Exosome Protein Secretion

User Guide Example Output Datasets/CL version Developers
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles implicated in cell-cell communication, serving as major vehicles for the secretion of proteins without a signal peptide. Proteins secreted by exosomes are very heterogeneous and lack any sequence pattern facilitating their recognition. ExoPred has been specifically developed to identify proteins secreted by exosomes in vertebrates. ExoPred predictions are based on a random forest model trained on dipeptide composition of exosome proteins that achieved 75.73 % accuracy in an independent dataset
